With 10 years of soccer coaching experience with children ages 3-6, and originally from the UK, Coach Gillian migrated to Los Angeles 14 years ago to work as a specialist counselor teaching Gym-fit to children ages 5 through 11.
Having always known that working with children was her passion and vocation, it was a position that she embraced with joy and honor. Before leaving England, Gillian played soccer and many other sports at County level, all through High School and College, and later, along with a personal friend, worked with a program called ‘FitKid’, focusing on the importance of exercise for children, whilst having fun. These sessions included specialized games, obstacle courses and other such ‘organized fun’ in order to get the body moving, whilst giving children a sense of joy and accomplishment.
Coach Gillian has added greatly to her already extensive coaching experience, in providing private care for infant, toddler, Kindergarten and grade school children and their families. She fully understands that all children have unique and individual needs and that coming together in a ‘team’ environment can help bring out and nurture positive qualities in a child that will prove in assisting them become well adjusted young adults.
